As of 11 AM Friday there is only one team on the course….Team 49 on course departing Ruby……The weather was cold last night and continues to be a bit chilly with some light flurries to big snow flakes…..Tanana arrivals include 6 teams waiting for their LO to be timed out and get back on the trail…..restart is scheduled for Saturday and a daylight finish so don’t look for racers to be going anywhere tonight…..times will be reworked and there will be another adjusted and staggered start on Saturday morning…..let the math wizards do their magic…..The trail between Ruby and Tanana is a lonely stretch of approximately 120 miles….the racers fueled up at the Bible Camp about 60 miles out where the Express Checkpoint was lighted and marked Cabo style…..it was cold one last night too….dropping down to -19 in TAN….brrrr and it looks like there were some trail conditions that racers may or may not have had to deal with…..Posted 10:15 AM 2-22-19Arnold Marks Jr. There were a couple of sections above bible camp that had some stretches of gnarly moguls. I believe they were marked but I can see how it was so fast and good and then all the sudden a long stretch of deep holes and hard wind blown drifts could cause a good wipe out.
