Official Iron Dog News ReleaseJanuary 3, 2018Flying Iron Moves to Mat-Su ValleyIron Dog is pleased to announce that the Flying Iron Freestyle show is moving to the Mat-Su Valley for 2018. After three successful years in Downtown Anchorage, Flying Iron will now join the Official Start at Big Lake.

For the last seven years, we have started our race in front of Big Lake Power Sports, at South Port Marina. Flying Iron will now be added to that location, directly adjacent to the parking lot.

We will have a Saturday evening show on February 17 at 7pm. A second show will occur Sunday, February 18 immediately following the Pro Class Start at 11am.

“We are really pleased to bring the excitement of the Flying Iron Freestyle show to all our fans in the Valley,” said Board of Directors President, Jim Wilke. “We in Alaska are extremely fortunate to be up close and personal with these world class athletes, as they perform directly in front of us. No where else in the world can you get as close to these dazzling tricks, as you can in Alaska. As always, admission is free and plenty of parking is available. So come out and have some fun!”
