Iron Dog Board approves late entry of additional team
UPDATE 10/25/24 - The Iron Dog Board this week approved a late entry of Team 13, Bob Streiff from Trego, Wis., and Dan Zimmerman from Nisswa, Minn.
The field now includes 32 teams, nine past champions, three veteran women racers, one father-son team, and one father-daughter team.
The race also features riders on Polaris, Ski-Doo, Arctic Cat and Lynx. Riders come from across Alaska, including four checkpoints: Nome, Kotzebue, Noorvik, and Selawik.
The World’s Longest, Toughest Snowmobile Race will depart from Big Lake on Feb. 15, 2025, covering more than 2,500 miles as it traverses the Alaskan backcountry.
