A. Spenard Builders Supply has been building Alaska for over 65 years. Statewide, we service a variety of customers including rural, residential, commercial, remodelers and do-it-yourselfers. We pride ourselves on being a one-stop shop for building materials and home improvement. From the ground up and everything in between.

A. Since 1998
Q. Why did you decide to become an Iron Dog sponsor?
A. It is one of the few great Alaskan events that attract fans from across the state and Outside.
Q. Why do you think supporting the Iron Dog is a valuable use of your annual giving?
A. It gives us another way to interact with the people we serve across the state.
Q. How do you think the community benefits from the existence of the Iron Dog?
A. The Iron Dog provides a great economic impact for the communities it passes through. The event creates a festival type atmosphere that is welcome during the winter. Racers from these communities develop a large and devoted fan base uniting communities.
Q. What do you think of the revamped race this year, with the additional miles near Kotzebue and the Fairbanks start?
A. The Kotzebue area has a great racing background. People in the area are excited to have the race pass through. It also provides a great economic impact for the communities involved.
