Racer registration & Checklist

The first step to participating in the 2026 Iron Dog Race is to complete your online racer registration.

Race Classes

There are two race classes for the 2026 Iron Dog: Pro Class and Expedition Class.

NEW FOR 2026 RACE: Expedition Class Riders may choose to end in Nome or Kotzebue. Please select your preferred option during registration. A maximum of 50 expedition class entries will be accepted.

Required Documents

NOTE: Documents are not required for Expedition Class Pre-Registration. You will be required to complete these forms before October 31, 2025.

• FORM A: Release & Waiver Of Liability & Indemnity - Download Form

  • Notary Required - Please seek a notary. Iron Dog cannot provide notary services.

• FORM B: Consent and Release for Use of Individual’s Name and Likeness - Digital Signature during Registration

• FORM C: Sports Physical Exam, signed by your doctor - Download Form

  • A Current CDL card will be accepted in lieu of a doctors form.

• FORM D: Government Issued Photo Identification

  • Must be valid during the race.

• FORM E: W-9 Form - Download Form

  • Pro-class only. Form must be signed.

• FORM F: Notification of the Rules Form - Digital Signature during Registration

• FORM G: Current First Aid Card & CPR Certification Card

  • American Red Cross online course CPR/First Aid cards accepted. Must be valid during the race.

  • Online CPR Class with the Red Cross

• FORM H: ISR Racing (International Snowmobile Racing) Membership Card/Number. A designated link for the Iron Dog Race can be found under “Type of Race”. Choose this option.

During registration, you will be prompted to pay your race entry fees online. You may also mail a check to Iron Dog. Learn More →

You may pay your racer registration fee online, by mail, or in-person. During your registration, you will be prompted to select a method of payment.

Pre-registration for Expedition Class must remit a 50% deposit by credit card, check, or cash to complete their pre-registration by October 1, 2025, and complete full payment by October 31, 2025.

2026 Fee Schedule

2026 Pro Class: TBD

2026 Expedition Class: There are two options for Expedition Class in 2026. You may choose to end in Nome or Kotzebue.

• 2026 Expedition Class (Nome): $3,424 per rider

  • + $250 Refundable GPS Tracker Deposit

  • = $3,674 (Total Check/Cash)

  • + 3% Credit/Debit Card Fee of $110.22

  • = $3,784.22 (Total Debit/Credit)

  • 50% Deposit for Pre Registration: $1,892.11

• 2026 Expedition Class (Kotzebue): $3,680 per rider

  • + $250 Refundable GPS Tracker Deposit

  • = $3,930 (Total Check/Cash)

  • + 3% Credit/Debit Card Fee of $117.90

  • = $4,047.90 (Total Debit/Credit)

  • 50% Deposit for Pre Registration: $2,023.95

Note: Your GPS refund check ($250) will be mailed to you upon return of your GPS unit & mount to the Iron Dog office after the race. Participants must return GPS units & mounts by March 31, 2026 or will forfeit their $250 GPS deposit to Iron Dog Race, Inc.

Pay Registration online

During your racer registration, you will have the option to pay online using a credit or debit card. Please select the following option on the Registration Fee step. You may only pay for one registration at a time. If you are paying for more than one registration, please contact us / (907) 563-4414.

A receipt will be emailed to you after payment.

In-Person & Mailed Payments

Check payments are due within 14 days of pre-registration. Please make all checks out and mail to:

• Expedition Class (Nome): $3,674 ($1,837.00 for Pre-Registration)

• Expedition Class (Kotzebue): $4,047.90 ($1,965.00 for Pre-Registration)

Your Racer Biography & Profile is DIFFERENT than your race entry registration form. You will need to complete BOTH forms.

Your Racer Profile can be completed before December 1, 2025. This information appears on the Race Tracking App and on the printed Iron Dog Guide.

If you have raced before you can log in with the same email account and password. If you’re new, create a new email account and password. Contact us with any questions.

The attached tech inspection form is what the tech inspection team will be using to tech you, your gear, and your snowmachine. Last updated: December 10, 2024.
