Check them out HEREFirst team departs at 4am, last team departs at 8:29amUPDATE # 5 | FEBRUARY 22, 2018 | SOUTHBOUND LAYOVER ADJUSTMENTSWith the weather and safety hold in Unalakleet northbound, the race marshals have moved departure times for teams out of Nome to 4am Friday February 23, 2018. Departure times for all teams will be determined after work times from the Nome Garage on Thursday.Teams will depart according to race rules, Section 11, for the first ten teams. Teams 11-23 will depart according to the race rules, with the exception of breaks between teams will be shortened.Southbound Layovers have been adjusted to ensure an on-schedule arrival in Fairbanks Saturday February 24, 2018.   • One fixed eight (8) hour layover
  • One flexible six (6) hour layover
Teams may take their layovers at any checkpoint, excluding express checkpoints, between Nome and Manley. The flexible layover can be combined with the fixed layover for a 14-hour layover, or they can be taken separately.Teams will begin arriving in Fairbanks approximately 10am Saturday and will continue arriving throughout the day. Due to severe weather on the west coast of Alaska, the Race Marshals have made the decision to hold racers in Unalakleet until Wednesday morning. The original 8 hour layover hold has been extended to a 30 hour hold for the first 9 teams with other adjustments made as needed.

Unalakleet Check out times are below.

Top 9 teams are released on actual course time.  All other teams are on 10 minute intervals with a couple exceptions.Teams 45 and 19 are actual course time interval 10:18

UPDATE #2 | FEBRUARY 20, 2018 | WEATHER HOLD IN UNALAKLEET

Due to severe weather on the west coast of Alaska, the Race Marshals have made the decision to hold racers in Unalakleet until Wednesday morning. The original 8 hour layover hold has been extended to a 30 hour hold for the first 9 teams with other adjustments made as needed.

The first team will be leaving Unalakleet at approximately 8am Wednesday morning. A full announcement with exact release times will follow.

UPDATE #1 | FEBRUARY 19, 2018 | WEATHER HOLDDue to severe weather on the coast the Race Marshals have issued a mandatory hold in Unalakleet for all racers and trail class riders. The hold will be a minimum of 8 hours. The Marshals will re-evaluate conditions early Tuesday morning.
