Nome, Alaska – Tuesday February 23, 2023. 

Effective 12:00 p.m., the 2023 Iron Dog is on HOLD effective immediately to allow for fuel to be moved to checkpoints where snow conditions have worsened.  This is in order to ensure that every participant in the race is able fill all tanks to contend with unexpected snowfall.

The race will re-start at 4:00 p.m., and update will come at 3:00 p.m.
