Thank You Mike Vasser

Anchorage, Alaska – Thursday May 6, 2021. The Iron Dog Board would like to thank Mike Vasser for stepping in at the last minute as Interim Executive Director of the 2021 Iron Dog Race. Mike's collaboration with board members, volunteers, community leaders, COVID mitigation experts and racers brought the 2021 race to reality when many said it could not happen.

At this time the Iron Dog Board is officially opening the position of Executive Director. Mike has graciously agreed to continue on as Interim E.D. through the hiring and onboarding process of a new director AND will work along side as a Board Member / Mentor during the 2022 race to ensure that the momentum for the sport and race continues.

The 2022 Iron Dog Expedition Class begins February 17, 2022 and the Pro Class races starts February 19, 2022.
